CASPR Technology Provides a Safe Environment for Cathedral-Carmel School

This week we are spotlighting Cathedral-Carmel School in Lafayette, La who earlier this year expressed their determination to open for the 2020-2021 school year despite the COVID-19 pandemic. When looking for ways to make that possible, CASPR Pro was highly recommended to the school by the parents of their students. After doing some extensive research on CASPR and how the disinfecting technology could be used to reduce the spread of bacteria and viruses, they decided to incorporate it into the school in addition to other required protocols.

Kay Aillet, Pricipal of Cathedral-Carmel School says:

"Knowing that CASPR Units are 99.96% effective against bacteria, viruses, and molds, our administration felt that this investment would pay dividends as it would be a much-needed additional protection for our students, faculty, and staff."

Prior to the opening of school, one hundred CASPR Pro Units were installed throughout campus and are now operating on a daily basis. Cathedral-Carmel School educates PreK-4 through 8th grade students, as well as two special needs classes.

Kay also states:

"The architectural landscape of our school is one that resembles a campus with numerous buildings covering several acres. As our students move throughout campus via their static homeroom classes, our school community has experienced a high level of confidence that our air and surfaces are germ free, whether it be the classrooms, gym, library, cafeteria, business offices, and administrative offices."

With a school community of 771 students and 100 faculty and staff members, the administration feels that CASPR Pro Units, along with other COVID protocols, have successfully kept positive Covid cases low. As of today, they have had only 33 positive cases. Of the 33 cases, 6 were faculty members and 27 were students. After contact tracing, it was confirmed that none of the positive cases were contracted on the school's campus. Thus far, the school has not had to shut down any classes due to positive Covid cases.

"For our Cathedral-Carmel School community, nothing is more important than the safety of our children, faculty, and staff. It is without reservation that we highly recommend this added measure of safety to any school or business wishing to provide a clean, safe environment."

about caspr

CASPR is an innovative “no-touch” disinfection technology that utilizes a Natural

No Touch Disinfection | NDS 360Catalytic Converter (NCC) to create hydrogen peroxide out of ambient air. These oxidizing molecules then circulate facility wide disinfecting both in the air and all surfaces, including the walls and floors, ultimately reducing the spread of these harmful pathogens. Scientific tests show that CASPR technology is able to inactivate 99.991% of SARS-COV2 which is the virus responsible for COVID-19.
